THIS PROGRAM IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
Please note that no more than two training groups will ever dispatch at the same time/date to Eastern State. A group consists of 4 Trainees and 1 Trainer as well as 1 guide from the Prison itself.
Training Foursomes are on a First Come, First Served basis subject to availability at Eastern State Pen.
This is for serious investigators who seek the designation as Certified Paranormal Investigator. As such, each trainee is REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT. This should include a digital audio recorder, camera, camcorder, thermal scanner or temp/barometric pressure gauge, and EMF meter.
Infrared DVR Units & cameras are not acceptable as they take away valuable time from the training for their set up and dismantling. Please refrain from using home made devices or your own experimental equipment as we will not be familiar with it and therefore unable to consider any evidence it generates as grade worthy for your Report of Findings.
Training Includes - 4 hours at Eastern State Pen, 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM (arrive main gate 9:45 PM) 1/2 hour Historical Overview by Prison Staff 1.5 hours Presentation on Paranormal Investigating Research & Documentation, Various types of equipment used and their paranormal applications and measurements 2 hours HANDS ON Investigating in Eastern State in select cell blocks and Death Row
Each Trainee must submit a Report of Findings inclusive of historical data/research within 2 weeks of the training night at ESP. ROFs must be emailed to laurah@njghs.net
Scoring is as follows: 50% for completion of all 4 hours at ESP 30% for 500 word Report w/historical data 20% for quality of images and recordings submitted with ROF
Any questions, email laurah@njghs.net or brian@njghs.net
Successful completion of the Training along with a Passing Mark of 80 points or higher will yield you the Certificate and new NJGHS Membership card that carries the designation: Certified Paranormal Investigator.
Please know that this designation is recognized in the NJGHS and preferential consideration is given to those CPIs for the more intense cases/investigations. This certification is not nationally recognized and is not valid for any licensing requirements your state may require.
Happy Haunting!!
