L'Aura Hladik - Founder and Director
L'Aura has been ghost hunting since 1993 and founded the NJ Ghost Hunters Society back in 1998. In addition to hunting in New Jersey, she's ghost hunted in Savannah, GA, St. Francisville (The Myrtles Plantation), LA, New Orleans, LA, St. Johnsville (Beardsley Castle), NY, Gettysburg, PA, Chicago (Bachelor's Grove), IL, Nashville, Memphis & Chattanooga, TN and conducted the first NJ Ghost Conference at The Inn at Five Ponds in Vermont in 1999.
Her interest in the paranormal started in childhood with her Dad introducing her to "Twilight Zone" and finishing out 8th grade living in a haunted house.
Her Great-Grandmother owned one of the wallets made from Antoine LeBlanc's skin. L'Aura remembers the terror of running through Phoebe's bedroom, then a private dining room of the Wedgewood Inn, to get to the bathroom when her Mom took her to work on school holidays. (This structure was recently torn down sadly to build yet another bank!)
She is writing a book on ghost hunting in New Jersey which is due out Fall 2008 and has written articles for NJ History's Mysteries on Ringwood Manor and the Antoine LeBlanc murders.
L'Aura has appeared on many local radio and cable tv programs including CN8's "Family Talk" and Cablevision's "Neighborhood Journal" as well as NJ 101.5 FM radio and WNNJ FM radio. She appeared on the nationally syndicated television show "Montel Williams" for the Sylvia Browne Halloween special on Oct. 31, 2006. (see pictures here) Included in this segment was her investigation of Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, PA.
L'Aura continues to present her findings and ghost stories at many libraries throughout NJ via a multi-media PowerPoint presentation. If you would like a presentation, please contact her directly.
The latest: In March 2007, L'Aura and the NJGHS were highlighted on the Treasure HD Dish Network TV show "Magnificent Obsessions". Brian Sandt appeared in this show for the investigation segment also at Eastern State Penitentiary. L'Aura also had a cameo in the movie "The Haunting of Danbury House"...she played the Coroner at the scene when the bodies were being removed from the house. She got to ride in her former hearse, "Morticia" for this scene as well.
L'Aura has two roommates: Bob & Tom (cats) and holds the title "Empress of the Universe" a/k/a MOM with 2 sons, Brian & Trent.

| Laura Lindemann |

Laura Lindemann - Team Leader
"My interest in things paranormal goes back to my childhood. My parents would even humor me by stopping at cemeteries so I could walk around."
"My first cognizant experience occured at Ringwood Manor back when I was 10 or 11 yrs old. I encountered what I later learned to be a "cold spot", followed by an abrupt tap on my shoulder from behind. Upon turning around I saw no one behind me which, of course, sent me hurrying from the house. My interest in ghosts has never waned."
"My regular life includes working for a glass fabrication and installation company, hiking, reading, my grandkids, friends, etc....a fairly run-of-the-mill life."
Laura has been with NJGHS since 1998 and participated in many memorable investigations such as the Cranbury Inn which was filmed by the TV crew M6 from France.
"It's been a joy to know I'm not alone in my belief in the paranormal."
As of May 15, 2008, Laura Lindemann will be officially resigned from her post as Team Leader for the Northeast Division. While she is a lifetime member and friend, we're still so sad to see her go, but we realize her life is taking her in other vast directions. The NJGHS and I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors and thank her tremendously for all her hard work and dedication to the organization and the field of paranormal research.
Further, the Northeast Division will be merged with the Northwest Division to form the North Jersey Division with Dina Chirico as the Team Leader.
